On March 1^st 2009, Mr. Al Zaeem met Quartet Representative, Mr. Tony Blair, to discuss the political and economic issues facing the Gaza Strip.  Mr. Blair expressed his greatest sympathies and understanding of the needs of Gaza and the Palestinian people, and assured that he would to do his best to address these issues with the Quartet and others in the hope that much of the problems that have been raised may be resolved.
