On March 12^th 2009, Mr. Al Zaeem met Mercy Corp's representatives, including Ms. Elena Buryan, Deputy Mission Director; Mr. Greg Tuke, Program Director; Dr. Robert Sherman, Executive Director of Action Center; and Ms. Ai Hirashiki, Global Engagement Director. The current situation in the Gaza Strip and effects of the Israeli war were discussed.  Mr. Al Zaeem accompanied them on a tour of Gaza, stopping at the site of the destroyed American International School, where Mr. Al Zaeem briefed them on the history and destruction of the school.
