On Thursday, June 11^th 2009, Mr. Al Zaeem as the chairman of Atfaluna Society for Deaf Children, received The UN Special Rapporteur on Disability, H/E Sheikha Hissa Khalifa Ahmad Al Thani and Mr. Michael Fox AM, as well as the Qatari delegation and a team of volunteers and international experts in the field of disability and development. He welcomed this delegation on behalf of all the NGOs working with the disabled people. They discussed the ways and means that Her Excellency can help the disabled people the NGOs which provide assistance to them.

The meeting was attended by over one hundred people, representing more than thirty NGOs working in this field. The meeting lasted approximately three hours and was attended by Mr. Ahmed Al Kurd, The Minister of Social Affairs. H/E Sheikha Hissa Khalifa Ahmad Al Than promised to support the Palestinian disabled people by all means necessary, whether through the UN fund, the Qatari Red Crescent, or direct donations from the Qatari Government.
