On October 14^th 2010, on behalf of Atfaluna Society for Deaf Children (ASDC), Mr. Al Zaeem, ASDC Chairman, provided an official welcoming to Mr. Alexander Stubb, the Foreign Minister of Finland. Mr. Stubb paid a special visit to Atfaluna Society for Deaf Children, where he expressed his admiration for Atfaluna and praised the hand-made products created by the deaf.

Mr. Al Zaeem expressed his happiness towards this visit, stating that, “the visit of the Foreigner Minister of Finland, Mr. Alexander Stubb, is very important for the Palestinian people, as it embodies the significant role he plays in providing the needed services to the Palestinians in the Gaza strip.” Mr. Al Zaeem briefed Mr. Stubb about the situation and daily suffering faced by the people in Gaza, specifically discussing the lasting effects of the 2008-2009 Israeli war on Gaza and the negative impact of the closure imposed on the Gaza Strip.
