PBTC was formed according to Palestinian law in 1994, immediately following the establishment of the Palestinian Authority with the Oslo Accords.  Since then, the PBTC has become one of the pioneers Palestine of opening direct relations with the international manufacturers, as the Palestinian market used to be fully affiliated and influenced by Israeli Companies only during the thirty years of direct occupation prior to the Oslo Accords. United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA)


UNRWA (the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East) provides assistance, protection and advocacy for some 5 million registered Palestine refugees in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and the occupied Palestinian territory, pending a solution to their plight. UNRWA is funded almost entirely by voluntary contributions from UN member states.
